General Information

Can I meet at the Design Center before I sign?

  • Yes. You can ask to schedule time to visit an Ivory Homes Design Center and meet with a Design Specialist. Ivory’s design team can help you understand available finishes, colors, materials, and design options.

  • Full color selections typically happen as part of the homebuying and planning process after you have selected a home, homesite, or plan. A sales consultant can help you schedule the right appointment based on where you are in the process.

Can I request a specific sales consultant?

  • Yes. You can request to work with a specific Ivory Homes sales consultant.

  • If you already know the consultant’s name, please include it when you submit a contact form or speak with the Ivory Homes team.

Can Ivory Homes build on my privately owned lot?

  • It may be possible in select situations, but privately owned lots and infill lots are not Ivory Homes’ primary focus. Ivory Homes typically builds in Ivory communities and on available Ivory homesites.

  • A privately owned lot would need to be reviewed for location, utilities, access, engineering, jurisdiction requirements, site conditions, and whether it fits Ivory’s current building process. Please contact Ivory Homes with the lot address and basic property details so the team can review the request.

Do I need mortgage pre‑approval before selecting a plan?

  • You do not need pre-approval just to browse home plans, tour model homes, or start a conversation with Ivory Homes. However, getting pre-approved early is strongly recommended.

  • A loan application is part of Ivory’s planning process, and early financing helps confirm your budget, estimated monthly payment, price range, and timeline before you get too far into selecting a home, homesite, or design options. A sales consultant can connect you with our preferred lender, Momentum Loans, or your preferred lender to review next steps.

Do you offer virtual tours of model homes?

  • Yes. Ivory Homes offers virtual home tours on the website so you can explore model homes and home designs from anywhere.

  • Virtual tours are a helpful way to compare layouts, see room flow, and narrow down which homes you may want to tour in person. For the most accurate details on a specific home plan, community, included features, or available options, please contact an Ivory Homes sales consultant.

Do you provide a buyer orientation before closing?

  • Yes. Ivory Homes includes a New Home Orientation before closing. This usually takes place after final inspections and before the closing appointment.

  • During orientation, the buyer has the opportunity to walk through the home, learn important details, and review items with the Ivory Homes team before closing.

Does Ivory Homes offer apartments or rentals?

  • Ivory Homes does not offer apartment communities through Ivory Homes but our sister company, Ivory Commericial (ICO), has availability throughout Utah. Availability varies by area and community. Please visit the Apartments page to learn more: (Insert Link Here)

  • Ivory also advertises a Smart Home Buyer Program where a portion of monthly rent may be credited toward future Ivory Homes upgrades, subject to current program terms and availability. For apartment availability, please contact a leasing specialist through the Ivory Homes Apartments page.

How do I start the homebuying process with Ivory Homes?

  • The best way to start is to choose the area, community, home type, or Quick Move-In home you are interested in and connect with an Ivory Homes sales consultant.

  • Ivory’s homebuilding process generally begins with Planning, which includes the initial deposit, loan application, color selection, and a pre-construction meeting. From there, the process moves into Construction, including permits and engineering, construction, an intermediate walk-through, final inspection, and New Home Orientation. Closing takes place at the title company, and keys are available after recording.

How long does a new build typically take?

  • Build timelines vary based on the community, home plan, homesite, permitting, engineering, city requirements, construction schedule, selections, weather, and supply availability.

  • If you build from the ground up, the process may take several months from planning through closing. If you choose a Quick Move-In home, the timeline can be shorter because the home is already complete or under construction. A sales consultant can provide the most accurate estimated timeline for the specific home or community you are considering.

What are model home hours?

  • Ivory Homes model home hours are generally:

    Monday: 12 PM – 7 PM
    Tuesday – Friday: 11 AM – 7 PM
    Saturday: 10 AM – 7 PM
    Sunday: Closed

  • Hours can vary by community, holiday, or special event, so it is best to confirm the specific model home location before visiting.

What documents will I sign at closing?

  • Closing takes place with the title company, which handles the closing, title, and escrow services for your home. At closing, buyers typically sign the required purchase, title, escrow, and loan-related documents needed to complete the transaction.

  • Your title company, lender, sales consultant, and mortgage officer can help answer questions about the specific documents for your home purchase.

When do I receive my keys?

  • Keys are available after the transaction records with the title company. Once recording is complete, the home is officially transferred and you can receive your keys and move in.

Where can I download the latest catalog of home designs?

  • You can download current Ivory Homes catalogues from the Catalogue of Homes section on the Ivory Homes website. The website includes downloadable catalogues and flipbook versions for several home collections, including current 2026 catalogues.

  • You can also browse home designs directly on the Home Designs page or view virtual tours to explore floor plans and model homes online.

Where do I find contact forms to reach a sales consultant?

  • You can use the “Let’s Chat” or “Contact Us” forms on the Ivory Homes website. Contact forms are available on community pages, model home pages, open house pages, and other areas of the site.

  • When submitting the form, include the area, community, home, or consultant you are interested in so the right member of the Ivory Homes team can follow up.
