Bad Neighbors Can Ruin More Than Just Your Day
Earlier this week in Georgia, one family was reminded of the importance of good neighbors when a nine-year-old girl drove a car through their home.
The girl, a neighbor from down the street, was being encouraged by her father (sitting in the passenger seat) to drive two doors down to her mother’s house. All was going well until, like a scene out of a bad Disney tweenie drama, the girl hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and busted through doors instead of just passing them.
“All I know is you could see the car going through the house,” said neighbor Frankie Juanita Brown. “[The girl] started screaming, ‘I tore up my momma’s car. I tore up my momma’s car’.”
Luckily no one was injured in the accident, but the Father-of-the-Year in question has now been taken into custody for reckless conduct. “They should have arrested him. Let your 9-year-old daughter drive? Not the time or the place,” Brown said as she shook her head.
So while you might not be fearful of a Chevy Impala joining you at the breakfast table anytime soon, there’s still plenty of reason to look at upgrading your neighbors with a new Ivory Home.
First and foremost, Ivory Homes has always been about building communities—not just homes. Their primary goal in developing is to create opportunities for social interaction, and by doing so help maintain the value in their neighborhoods.
You’d be less than surprised how many wonderful people there are to be found in a beautifully planned community of high-quality homes. And while Ivory Homes can’t guarantee a nine-year-old won’t drive through your entryway, they’re pretty positive it’s about as likely as you not falling in love with your new Ivory community.
